I find it funny reading highly praised reviews about this movie and after watching it asking myself how releated the reviewers are to the director of the movie.Anyway, the story sounds good. Someone with an writer block gets send and locked into an abandoned slaugher house. During his time the fiction he writes and reality are merging. Now comes the hard truth...it isn't working! The movie is unlogical and very very boring to watch....even Michael Berryman (The hills have Eyes) can't rescue this movie.
'Sentiment: Negative ☹️'
The only thing going for this movie, worth at most 3 stars, is the cute and versatile actress Kristin Booth. The rest of the horror is a patchwork of scenes from every slasher film you've ever seen mixed with every evil kid film you've ever seen. The concept was original, but the execution, pardon the pun, was disastrous.
'Sentiment: Positive 🙂'
A small film without pretension but with intentions and a sense of economy that is not limited to its budget. It is relatively well written and well played, the casting works totally and the haunted atmosphere reminds us of that of Saw, the gore less. And if there was only one good reason to watch this b-series until the end, it would be for the performance of Furlong, an actor who could have been a Hollywood giant and who proves here that even in the trough of the wave and with addictions, one can still carry a film on his charisma, his eloquence and some fulgurances worthy of the greatest. There are scenes in this film where we find the prodigy of Little Odessa or American History X. And Michael Berryman is great in his unique way.
